On October 23-25, Professor Cai Qiyong, Vice President of YZNU, visited the Friendship School of YZNU and the Sino-US Talent Training Program 121 Project Cooperation School - University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP).

Prof. Robin Gary Cummings, President of UNCP, met with Vice President Cai Qiyong and his delegation. Prof. Robin Gary Cummings introduced the basic situation of UNCP. He expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with YZNU. He hoped to continue to cooperate in depth, further expand the cooperation fields and promote the exchange of teachers and students between the two universities. Vice President Cai Qiyong expressed his gratitude to President Robin Gary Cummings for his warm reception and briefly introduced YZNU's history, professional structure, teaching staff and international cooperation & exchanges. He expressed the hope to deepen and expand the cooperation and the exchange between the two sides.

Prof. David Ward, Vice President of UNCP, led the heads of the school's international department, graduate school, business school, education school and liberal arts school to have an in-depth exchange with Vice President Cai Qiyong and his delegation on how to deepen cooperation between the two universities.

During the visit, Vice President Cai Qiyong and his delegation visited the UNCP Student Activity Center, Student Employment Guidance Center, Sports Center, School Hospital and Psychological Counseling Center. Finally, Vice President Cai Qiyong and his delegation visited students  from YZNU studying at UNCP, encouraged them to study hard and return to YZNU with excellent academic results.
